LUISE STIEFEL WINS MEDALS AT SENIOR OLYMPICS

Ninety-five year old Philippi resident Luise Stiefel drove over eighty miles to Keyser, West Virginia to participate in the Senior Olympics. Aging and Family Services of Mineral Co. held the annual event on June 10 through the 13th, 2008. Ms. Stiefel won six medals: a silver medal in bowling and bronze medals for the 20 yard dash, the 40 year dash, and two other events. She also was presented with a gift certificate for being the oldest particpant in the Senior Olympics.
